Immortality, Inc. Off With a Bang!

This post was originally sent as a newsletter email on March 5, 2020.

Fellow Human Beans!

Hope you're enjoying the arrival of spring wherever you are, and weathering the insanity we call Corona Virus. Stay well!

It's been a few months since I was last in touch with you, and since then Immortality, Inc. - Renegade Science, Silicon Valley Billions, and the Quest to Live Forever is out! And thanks to the hardworking folks at National Geographic, it hit bookstores (both the brick and mortar and online varieties) January 7th with a bang.

The Wall Street Journal, called the book "absorbing" and "a gripping chronicle." Publisher’s Weekly wrote, “[Walter’s] fascinating account will interest those who want to know more about Silicon Valley’s rainmakers, as well as where science now stands on preventing and curing disease.” … And Nature says, “this witty look at ‘curing’ death is worth the ride.” Michael Keaton posted on Instagram, "Another great book from Chip." Even my long time friend William Shatner loved it. “What a cast. What a story. What a book,” he wrote.

The book has also been featured on the BBC, Nationally on NPR’s 1A, New Zealand Radio, The New York Post, C-Span, Science Fantastic with Michio Kaku, iHeart Radio and many others (see links below if you're dying to know more).

I'm Very Grateful.

I want to thank all of you who have been so supportive! After working the better part of three years to research and write this book, that sort of backing is truly appreciated.

However, if you'd like to explore my past books and projects (my cover article for National Geographic Magazine a few years back, for example, entitled "The First Artists"), or my blog entries, or my visual gallery of places I've been lucky enough to visit, please click the blue links and swing by my website. There's plenty of information there and we're updating the website all the time.

If you’ve enjoyed Immortality, I hope you’ll write a review on Amazon. More projects are in the works, but naturally I hope you'll be willing to spread the word about this one face-to-face or online or while you're standing in line at the grocery store (assuming Corona Virus hasn't shut it down). If you haven’t read Immortality (is this possible?), you can pick up a copy here.  Comments are always welcome. Send me an email: chip@chipwalter.com.

Meanwhile, here’s a short, selected list of some of the attention the book has been receiving … Feel free to click the links and watch, read or listen. (Yes, I look pretty serious in the picture here, but it really has been fun!)

Thanks again for your support! Let me know what you think. Drop me an email at chip@chipwalter.com!
